Meet Alexander Pertusini

I’m a career flight instructor with a strong foundation in education, specializing in modern, systems-based flight training for Cirrus pilots. Before aviation, my background in education shaped how I teach—clear structure, adaptability to different learning styles, and a focus on true understanding rather than rote memorization. That educational foundation carries directly into the cockpit, where efficiency, clarity, and confidence matter most.

I am a Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP) with extensive experience training pilots in accelerated Instrument and Commercial programs. My focus is helping pilots progress quickly without cutting corners, using scenario-based training, avionics mastery, and ACS-aligned preparation that mirrors real-world flying and real-world checkrides.

I maintain a close working relationship with CHS Flight School, where I actively train private, instrument, and commercial students, as well as IFR6, a program specializing in advanced simulator-based instruction. Through IFR6, I leverage high-fidelity simulators to refine instrument procedures, emergency decision-making, and systems knowledge—dramatically reducing aircraft time and overall training costs while increasing proficiency.

My training philosophy is simple: use the right tools, teach the “why,” and prepare pilots to fly confidently beyond the checkride. Whether you’re pursuing your first rating or refining professional-level skills, my goal is to make your training efficient, structured, and genuinely enjoyable—while holding the highest standards of safety and competence.
